October 20, 2014 Poppies

ice poppy1ice poppy2ice poppy3   Yesterday in northwestern Montana we had a glorious day of sunshine and the temperature locally was 72 degrees.  The Icelandic poppies opened their faces full into the warmth and brightness of the day.   I did, too.


They are the last surviving blooms of the season.   Today, the 21, it has been raining.  the poor blossoms are now drooping.  I am not.  We need rain.
